2021 foreign issues related to bathroom cabinets analysis

The U.S. home services website HOUZZ releases the U.S. Bathroom Trends Study every year, and recently, the 2021 edition of the report has finally been released. This year, the behavioral trends of U.S. homeowners when renovating bathrooms largely continue from last year, with products such as smart toilets, water-saving faucets, custom bathroom cabinets, showers and bathroom mirrors still widely popular, and the overall renovation style is not much different from last year. However, this year there are also some consumer characteristics worthy of attention, for example, more and more people in the renovation of the bathroom to take into account the needs of the elderly and even pets, which is also the main reason why many companies in recent years to step into the field.

According to the report, among bathroom fixture renovations, respondents who replaced faucets, flooring, walls, lighting, showers and countertops all exceeded 80 percent, essentially the same as last year. Those who replaced their sinks also reached 77 percent, three percentage points higher than last year. In addition, 65% of respondents also replaced their toilets.

On the choice of bathroom cabinets, most respondents prefer customized products, accounting for 34%, and 22% of homeowners prefer semi-custom products, reflecting that bathroom cabinets with customized elements are most popular among U.S. users. In addition, there are still many respondents who choose to use mass-produced products, which account for 28% of respondents.

Of this year's respondents, 78% said they replaced their bathroom with a new mirror, or 78%. Among this group, more than half installed more than one mirror, with some upgraded mirrors having more advanced features. In addition, among homeowners who replaced their mirrors, 20 percent chose products equipped with LED lights and 18 percent chose products equipped with anti-fog features, with the latter percentage up 4 percentage points from last year.
